NFL Draft 2019 - Live@ Rumor Roundup

NFL Draft 2019: The 2019 NFL Draft, stretched over three days, will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, for the first time, with hundreds of college football prospects waiting to hear their fate. The first round will be held on Thursday.

The 2019 NFL Draft kicks off tomorrow, with the first round coming Thursday night at 8pm ET. Over the last several days, we have started taking a closer look at some of the draft prospects who could be on the Miami Dolphins’ radar come Thursday - or Friday or Saturday as the three-day selection process proceeds.

Some of Miami’s biggest questions heading into this year’s Draft are on the line of scrimmage, with tackle, guard, defensive end, and defensive tackle all positions of need. Our prospect profiles have covered several of those positions, and continue to do so now. We turn our attention in article nine of the series to Florida State edge rusher Brian Burns.

When the Pittsburgh Steelers make their first round pick Thursday night at the NFL Draft, they’ll use a former first-rounder to announce it.

NFL Hall-of-Famer Joe Greene will represent the Steelers on stage in Nashville. Pittsburgh selected Greene with the fourth overall pick in the 1969 draft.

“It is special,” Greene said in an announcement on Steelers.com. “Since my draft day, more than 50 years ago, to be here and to announce the Pittsburgh Steelers No. 1 draft choice is very humbling, very humbling.”

Whoever the Steelers draft with their first round pick, Greene said they’ll be walking into the “best organization in the National Football League.”

“It is good top to bottom," he said. "That is what you are looking for. To have a genuine organization that gives you the opportunity to succeed and have fun. That is the bottom line. To succeed and enjoy yourself.”

The Steelers own the 20th overall pick in the 2019 draft after finishing the season 9-6-1.

Greene isn’t the only former Steelers player who will be on hand to make a pick this weekend. Santonio Holmes will announce the team’s second round pick and Brett Keisel will announce the third round pick.
